Penumbra System® 3MAX® Separator
The Penumbra System® 3MAX® Separator, item 3MAXS, is a sterile, single-use neurovascular device designed for use with the 3MAX Reperfusion Catheter as part of the Penumbra System. During aspiration thrombectomy, the separator may be advanced and retracted through the catheter near the proximal margin of an occlusion to help clear thrombus from the catheter tip or lumen and support continued aspiration. The device is fluoroscopically visible and is supplied with an introducer and torque device for controlled preparation and manipulation. It is not intended for use as a neurovascular guidewire.
