Penumbra System® 4MAX™ Separator
The Penumbra System® 4MAX™ Separator, item PSF041, is a sterile, single-use neurovascular device designed for use with the 4MAX Reperfusion Catheter during aspiration thrombectomy. The separator can be advanced and retracted through the reperfusion catheter near the proximal margin of an occlusion to help clear thrombus from the catheter tip or lumen and maintain the aspiration pathway. It is fluoroscopically visible and supplied with an introducer and torque device to support controlled preparation and manipulation. The separator is a procedural accessory and is not intended for use as a neurovascular guidewire.
