The Introducer Kit (Initial Placement Kit) for Gastrostomy Feeding Tubes provides physicians with an innovative solution to facilitate the primary placement of balloon-retained enteral feeding tubes.
The Introducer Kit contains a unique SAF-T-PEXY* device with resorbable suture and locking bolster to secure the stomach to the anterior abdominal wall. The kit also includes a telescopic dilator with incorporated peel-away sheath designed for procedural efficiency and to eliminate the need for multiple exchanges. Pre-loaded safety needles designed to protect health care workers from inadvertent or accidental needle sticks. Lastly, the kit includes an over-the-wire Stoma Measuring Device that is to be used to measure the approriate stoma length.
Clinicians can choose from a variety of diameters and dilator sizings. The kit comes EO sterilized.
