The Stryker Neurovascular Target 3D Detachable Coil is a sterile, implantable embolization coil designed to obstruct or occlude blood flow within vascular abnormalities. Its complex three-dimensional configuration alternates large and small loops to create a stable framework within the treatment site, supporting consistent framing and subsequent coil placement.
The small loops add body and help maintain the coil’s shape, while the larger loops contact the vessel or aneurysm wall to enhance stability. The coil rotates approximately 90 degrees at each small loop to develop its three-dimensional configuration during deployment.
