Designed for emergency control of bleeding esophageal varices and as a diagnostic aid in determining the source and/or extent of hemorrhage into the stomach. Introduced orally or through nasal passage. Single-use, non-sterile.

- Equipped with two inflatable latex balloons—a long esophageal balloon and a smaller gastric balloon—to apply direct mechanical pressure on bleeding vessels
- Made of X-ray opaque rubber or latex for clear visibility and placement verification under medical imaging
- Single-use and supplied non-sterile, designed for temporary acute care before definitive treatments like endoscopy or TIPS procedures
