The WEB™ Embolization System from Terumo Neurovascular (MicroVention) is an innovative intrasaccular flow disruptor designed for the endovascular treatment of wide-neck bifurcation intracranial aneurysms. Unlike traditional coiling techniques, the WEB™ device is deployed directly inside the aneurysm sac, creating immediate flow disruption and promoting progressive thrombosis while preserving the parent vessels. This unique single-device approach simplifies aneurysm management, reduces procedure time, and minimizes the need for adjunctive devices such as stents or balloons.
The WEB™ Embolization System is available in multiple configurations, including WEB™ SL (Single Layer), WEB™ SLS (Single Layer Sphere), and WEB™ SLS Jr, allowing customized sizing for a wide range of aneurysm morphologies. Featuring a self-expanding, braided nitinol mesh design, the WEB™ device offers excellent conformability and stable anchoring within the aneurysm.
