The Size 22 blade features a broad curved cutting edge and is larger than the Size 20 blade, making it well suited for long skin incisions and procedures requiring a larger cutting surface. Size 22 blades are commonly used in general, cardiac, and thoracic surgery, including skin incision and tissue division during open surgical procedures. The blade is compatible with a Size 4 scalpel handle and is manufactured from Grade F stainless steel in accordance with BS EN ISO 7153-1:2001.
