The Symbotex™ composite mesh is intended for the reinforcement of soft tissue where a weakness exists such as the repair of the primary abdominal wall and incisional hernias.

Manufacturer
The mesh portfolio from the former Covidien AutoSuture business is now part of Medtronic’s Hernia and Wound Management segment within the Surgical Operating Unit. This division offers a broad range of synthetic and biologic hernia repair meshes along with fixation devices and surgical accessories used in open and laparoscopic hernia repair.
Key products include:
- Parietex™ mesh family – a widely used line of polyester-based meshes, including Parietex™ Composite (PCO), Parietex™ ProGrip™ (self-gripping), and Parietex™ Hydrophilic meshes designed for tissue integration and ease of handling.
